About
Crochet Point

One year of learning, building, and testing – creating the pattern management tool I always needed

It All Started With One Very Annoying Pattern

About a year ago, I was working on a heart-shaped box pattern – a gift I wanted to make for my mom. It was one of those patterns with detailed row-by-row instructions that require actual concentration. I kept losing my place. I’d crochet half of row 17, realize I was actually on row 15, and somehow end up incorporating instructions from row 18 as well. It was a mess, and I was so frustrated I almost gave up on the project entirely.

At first, I thought about creating some kind of physical solution, a notebook with see-through paper to highlight rows. But that would mean recreating it for every single pattern, and honestly? That sounded like even more work than untangling my current disaster.

So instead I decided to build something digital.

Built by a Crocheter, For Crocheters

I’m a young crocheter who simply got tired of losing my patterns, mixing up rows and using apps that just didn’t get it. I’ve been crocheting for over three years, and I spent the last year building Crochet Point – a tool that actually solves the problems I was dealing with.

The best part? Because I created this based on my own needs, it works the way a crocheter’s brain works. The tracker keeps you on the right row. The editor lets you write patterns the way you think about them. The timer tracks your progress without you having to remember to stop it. The library keeps everything organized so you’re not digging through screenshots or paper notes.

I don’t have a grand mission statement or a business plan. I just wanted to crochet without wanting to throw my project across the room.

What Makes Crochet Point Different

Every feature exists because it solved a real problem I had:

Pattern Tracker

Never lose your place in a pattern again (seriously, this was the whole point)

Pattern Editor

Write your own patterns in a format that actually makes sense

Project Timer

See how long you’ve actually spent on that blanket (premium feature)

Pattern Library

All your patterns in one place, not scattered across Pinterest, PDFs, and screenshots

Progress Tracking

Pick up exactly where you left off, even weeks later

Why It Works

Here’s the thing: most crochet tools are built by developers who think they know what crocheters need. Crochet Point was built by someone who is a crocheter, who’s dealt with the same frustrations, and who wanted something that just… worked.

No unnecessary features. No confusing layouts. Just a straightforward tool that helps you crochet more and stress less.

What's Next

Crochet Point is still growing. I’m constantly adding features based on what would make my own crocheting life easier – and listening to what other crocheters want too. My goal is simple: make crocheting less frustrating and more fun.

So whether you’re working on amigurumi, garments, blankets, or that one huge project you started six months ago, Crochet Point is here to help you actually finish it.
